A “DOC” project for a new Milan

Corporate

In the heart of the urban transformation of Scalo Farini, in the north of Milan, stands Bernina 7 — the first redevelopment project in an area that aspires to become a new strategic hub for the city. The building, owned by the Chronos fund and managed by Kryalos SGR, has been completely renovated. Alongside a significant architectural restyling, the new office and common area setups stand out, featuring furnishings from the Alea and m | artedesign collections. They were selected for the two newly renovated floors now occupied by DOC Pharma (formerly DOC Generici), the eighth-largest pharmaceutical company in Italy.

The interior spaces were designed with an ecofriendly approach and in accordance with J+S Studio’s LEED Platinum Protocol, to offer occupants the highest level of comfort by maximizing natural light and ensuring excellent air quality. The furnishing solutions fit perfectly within this vision, creating a seamless continuity with the building’s original concept. Alea’s products play a significant role in encouraging interaction between people — a hallmark of ethical and sustainable design.

The A65 internal partition walls are transparent, allowing for visual continuity with the exterior. The planter system, featuring the Jungla plant holders in various versions, supplied by Alea and installed by Verde Profilo, helps eliminate the boundaries between indoor and outdoor spaces. These elements are present both in circulation areas and individual offices.

The offices are functional and flexible thanks to Italo desks with adjustable legs, Q18 bookcases, and Levante chairs in a range of colors, made with a polypropylene shell composed of 70% recycled plastic and fully recyclable materials.
