Where people feel Better

A story of authentic, consistent, and tangible sustainability, where innovation and responsibility come together in the way Alea thinks, creates, and produces. An approach that evolves constantly with method, where every choice — from materials to design, from the supply chain to governance — is guided by the desire to leave a positive impact, always better than the day before. It is a clear-sighted, everyday commitment: to improve, little by little, in order to do better. For people. For the environment. For the future. Only in this way can we give continuity and substance to our corporate purpose and help design places where people can feel better (places where people feel Better).

Sustainability:
our commitment to a responsible future

At Alea, sustainability is rooted in a simple idea: to constantly improve what we do, in a conscious way.

Since 2023, we have been a Benefit Corporation, a choice that strengthens our commitment to generating a positive impact beyond profit.

We innovate to create value: for people, the planet, and the future.

Benefit Corporation:
creating benefits for environment,
the community, and people

The common benefit objectives are what distinguish a Benefit Corporation: set out in the company’s bylaws, they represent the goals of public interest that the company seeks to pursue alongside profit in order to generate a positive impact on society or the environment. Each objective is therefore translated into actions, which must be measurable so that the impact generated over time can be quantified and monitored.

Each initiative is subject to a planning and monitoring process, which ensures that the actions are effectively implemented, documented, and communicated at the end of each financial year. In our second Impact Report, following the establishment of the Benefit Corporation at the end of the 2023 financial year, we reported on the actions related to the common benefit objectives and the targets pursued and achieved in 2025, with the aim of clearly communicating the set goals. Looking ahead, we have also identified the initiatives we intend to undertake in 2026.

Sustainable design:
modular, durable, circular

Economia circolare
Design sostenibile
We believe in a conscious and responsible vision of design. For this reason, every piece of furniture and every project we create is born from a clear principle: to develop solutions that are beautiful, functional, and environmentally responsible.

Our design is:

MODULAR, because flexibility is an integral part of sustainability. Our products are designed to adapt over time to new spatial and functional needs, reducing the need for replacement and encouraging reuse.

DURABLE, because well-crafted furniture is a long-term investment. We use high-quality materials, carefully selected for their strength and reduced environmental impact. Every component is designed to ensure long-lasting reliability and minimal maintenance.

CIRCULAR, because a product’s life cycle does not end with its use. We design furniture that is easy to disassemble, repair, and recycle, with the goal of minimizing waste and facilitating the reintegration of materials into the production cycle. In a changing world, Alea chooses to design change. With concrete choices, intelligent design, and a sustainable vision that puts people and the planet at the center.

Sustainability in the Supply Chain: Every Choice Counts

Every Alea product carries with it a story of trust, ethics, and sustainability.

75% of our supplier spending is directed to local partners located within 200 km of our headquarters in Sarone di Caneva (Friuli Venezia Giulia and Veneto regions). In this way, we actively contribute to enhancing the local territory, improving our environmental impact, and reducing transportation risks and emissions.

Our collaboration with partners is built on shared values, ensuring quality, transparency, and respect for the environment and the community in which we live.

For us, a fully responsible (and short) supply chain is the very first form of excellence.

Sustainability is also part of the design process

We know how to create furniture that can be easily disassembled, repaired, and recycled.

Products such as the R_9 bookcase and the Queen armchair by m | artedesign are designed to last over time, evolve, and reduce environmental impact at every stage of their life cycle.

R_9, in particular, is made from a single material. It is completely and easily disassemblable. No permanent fixings or adhesives are used, allowing for lower consumption and better recyclability—without compromising on stability and durability.

Alea invests in green technologies, eco-compatible materials, and strategies capable of anticipating environmental and social challenges, with design solutions always oriented toward the future. Creativity goes hand in hand with respect for the planet. Every new idea is a step forward into tomorrow.
